Esteemed experts in digital health, healthcare policy and technology will share insights, exchange ideas and discuss strategies for advancing digital health in Europe at the Digital Health Advisory Group for Europe (DHAGE) high-level meeting during the HIMSS23 European Health Conference and Exhibition.
As a leading event for healthcare and technology professionals, HIMSS23 Europe, 7-9 June in Lisbon, Portugal, will set the stage for DHAGE to discuss and shape the future of digital health in the region. Registration for HIMSS23 Europe is open, with flexible options for healthcare professionals.
DHAGE, a thought leadership platform for key decision-makers in Europe, identifies synergies and nurtures collaborations on digital health policies. Created by HIMSS in collaboration with the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, DHAGE builds on the work of the HIMSS European Conference Advisory Council with the goal of creating policy topics of national relevance for its member countries.
The DHAGE meeting will provide a platform for interactive sessions, engaging discussions and networking opportunities, fostering dialogue and collaboration among DHAGE members and other stakeholders in the digital health ecosystem. The outcomes of the meeting will be revealed at a public session the following day.
Participants will explore the new EU and World Health Organization strategies, analyse the landscape of digital health and develop the DHAGE 2023 Report focus plan for the next working period of three to five years. This report is intended to help countries and international organisations integrate important topics into their own actions and processes.
Under the theme of Europe’s Digital Health Compass, DHAGE has identified a series of high-priority topics that will be the focal point of its discussions at the event. The group will focus on three areas: people and professionals; governance and interoperability; and innovation and solutions.
Topics include crisis preparedness and workforce; four diseases (cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and mental health); Agetech; harmonisation and government frameworks; and advanced digital technologies.
Discussions will be informed by insights from meetings over the past few years, the most recent of which took place in September 2022.
DHAGE's efforts are anticipated to drive positive change, promote digital inclusion, and accelerate the adoption of digital health solutions for improved healthcare delivery, patient care, and population health management in the region.
