The Puerto Rico Chapter of the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare through the intelligent use of information technology. Our organization provides its members a forum for the exchange of ideas while promoting continuing education and cooperation among similar organizations in the area of ​​healthcare.

By becoming a member of HIMSS, and the local chapter in Puerto Rico you will have the opportunity to participate as a volunteer in one of the chapters many committees. You will also have access to many educational and professional development resources as well as networking events.

To become the recognized leader of transformation in the area of health information  systems and management in Puerto Rico  through knowledge sharing , advocacy, collaboration, innovation , education, and community affiliations.
