Since COVID-19 brought about the rapid acceleration of digital transformation in healthcare, healthcare organisations have been harnessing digital technologies to improve clinical outcomes, financial viability and operational efficiencies.
In the newly launched Digital Excellence in Healthcare: APAC Case Studies series, HIMSS recognises the commendable efforts happening in APAC.
This series has two key areas of focus. The first is healthcare organisations who have utiltised HIMSS' digital tools, such as its Maturity Models, in their digital transformation journeys. The second is healthcare organisations who have embarked on digital technology projects to address challenges they are facing and the positive outcomes they achieved.
This inaugural issue explores how Queensland Health in Australia and Korea University Anam Hospital in South Korea leveraged the HIMSS Digital Health Indicator for comprehensive assessments of their digital systems, and how they plan to use these recommendations to further advance their transformation journeys.
Additionally, this issue looks at how Karuna Trust's Tavarekere UPHC in India underwent the Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (O-EMRAM) assessment to ensure its ongoing digitisation efforts are in line with modern advancements in healthcare.
This volume also features case studies of two healthcare organisations who embarked on digital technology projects to address their pandemic-related challenges: Baby Memorial Hospital in India and the National University Health System in Singapore. Read about the outcomes they managed to achieve through these projects.
HIMSS is proud to present the first volume of the Digital Excellence in Healthcare: APAC Case Studies, a quarterly compilation of case studies featuring healthcare organisations that have successfully embarked on digital transformation.
